Laurel’s Public Access Television station is going LIVE!
For the first time in the 37 year history of the Laurel Board of Trade’s Main Street Festival Parade, we are broadcasting it LIVE on Laurel TV beginning at 9am on May 13, 2017.
Mayor Craig A. Moe is proud of this addition to Laurel TV and has said, “With the support of the Laurel City Council, this Administration has made many upgrades to the Laurel TV studio facility in order to bring you live TV at Laurel’s Main Street Festival. It has been a long time goal of mine in continuing the City’s outreach to the Laurel community. Thanks to all who make this happen.”
You’ll be able to see the sights and the sounds of this iconic city event and cheer right along with the thousands of people who line the streets of Main Street for it every year.
When it’s done, we’ll share LIVE interviews with City leaders and people from all over who’ve come to be a part of the fun.
Watch it LIVE on the Laurel TV YouTube channel or on Comcast channels 996(HD) and 71(SD) or on Verizon Channel 12. We will also be live streaming the Main Street Festival parade beginning at 9am on LaurelTV.org.
“This LIVE broadcast is the culmination of a two year project to upgrade the facilities at Laurel TV to give viewers a top notch, high definition channel,” Communications Director Audrey Barnes says. “Because we are live streaming the parade and showing it simultaneously on our Laurel TV YouTube channel, Laurel residents who’ve moved away, and people anywhere with the internet, will be able to watch this community favorite LIVE.”
After the parade broadcast ends, come on down to Laurel’s Main Street for some tasty food, finger-snapping, toe-tapping music and lots of great Mother’s Day gift choices for Mom!
