Laurel TV Soars during the 2022 Awards Season Plus how to connect with us

The Laurel TV team continued its winning ways during this year’s television industry awards season --bringing home two international Telly Awards, and two Communicator Awards from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.

Communications Director Audrey  Barnes says the Department earned the awards for its COVID-19 documentary and “Take the Shot Laurel” vaccine PSA.  Reporter Jamal Williams won a Telly for his story on a local racing phenom.

If you want to get the latest updates on City of Laurel news and events, here's how

For Communications Director Audrey Barnes, a standing room only crowd at the City’s recent Volunteer Fair was a perfect opportunity to explain how to get connected to the City’s many different communications platforms so you never miss out on the news and special events happening in Laurel.

Stop the FCC from Defunding PEG Channels

The FCC is proposing some changes to redefine what a franchise fee is and it will radically reduce the level of monetary support available to run PEG --public access stations like Laurel TV.

As you know, PEG stations provide government coverage and local content about the community that you might not see on other broadcast channels or in the newspaper.

You can help fight that effort by entering a comment against the changes on the link provided. Thanks for your support.
